Highly integrated AFE GX1148 software and hardware compatible with ADS1148 for servo drive applications

Time:2025-06-30 Views:509
A servo driver is a controller used to control servo motors. Mainly used in high-precision positioning systems, it controls servo motors through position, speed, and torque to achieve high-precision transmission system positioning.

The mainstream servo drives use digital signal processors as the control core, requiring high-precision AFE to collect multiple signals in real-time and accurately. The highly integrated AFE GX1148 is particularly suitable for use in servo drives, and can be replaced with ADS1148 compatible software and hardware, providing strong support for improving the overall performance of servo drives.

The AFE GX1148 chip is a complete analog front-end with low cost, low power consumption, and high integration. It includes 8-channel analog switches, low-noise PGA, low-temperature drift reference source, high matching IDAC, and high-precision 16 bit delta ADC.
1. High resolution and high precision
The chip has a 24 bit ultra-high resolution, which enables it to accurately capture extremely small analog signal changes. Even small signal deviations can lead to a decrease in control accuracy. 24 bit high-resolution can accurately digitize subtle changes in motor current signals.

2. Low noise characteristics
This chip has excellent low-noise performance, and the internally integrated low-noise programmable gain amplifier can amplify the signal while minimizing the introduced noise. Ensure that the motor position feedback signal is not affected by noise interference, ensure the accuracy of the robot‘s motion trajectory, and avoid motion deviation caused by signal noise.

3. Flexible Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA)
PGA provides selectable gains ranging from 1 to 128, and users can flexibly adjust the gain multiple based on the amplitude of the input analog signal. The signal with different amplitude can be adjusted to the appropriate range for high-precision analog-to-digital conversion, which not only improves the measurement accuracy of the signal, but also enhances the compatibility of the system with different sensors.

4. 50/60Hz interference suppression
The digital filter of the chip can effectively suppress power line interference at both 50Hz and 60Hz. The interference suppression function ensures that the collected signals are not affected by such interference, ensuring stable operation of the servo system in complex electromagnetic environments and improving system reliability.
