Intelligent circuit breaker is a new secondary system for circuit breakers established using microelectronics, computer technology, and new sensors. Its main feature is the execution unit composed of electric power technology and digital control devices, replacing the auxiliary switches and relays of conventional mechanical structures. The new sensors, combined with digital control devices, independently collect operational data, detect equipment defects and faults, and issue alarm signals before defects turn into faults, in order to take measures to avoid accidents.
The intelligent circuit breaker consists of the following modules, among which the control driving unit can use relay driving chip GX8023D and motor driving chip GX7620A. The excellent performance parameters of these two chips can directly replace BL8023D and MD7620A.

GX8023D is a full bridge power drive chip, whose output is directly connected to the relay coil. Under the control of the input logic signal level, it can achieve the closure and disconnection of the magnetic holding relay contacts. In application circuits, there is no need for any peripheral discrete components, and it has the characteristics of small size, low power consumption, and high reliability. Its features are as follows:
• Operating voltage range of 5V to 36V
Maximum operating current: 450mA
Low power design: 1uA static current
DC brushed motor drive mode: forward, backward, drag, and brake
• Working temperature range: -40 ℃~+85 ℃
• Compatible with various microcontroller logic level signal input signals
• Input signal anti noise processing
• Backlash protection for inductive load current
• Encapsulation: SOT23-6/SOP8, suitable for different application scenarios
GX7620A is an H-bridge motor driver used to drive reversible motors, which can drive the windings of a DC motor, a stepper motor, or other loads. The GX7620A operates at a motor power supply voltage of 4.5V to 24V, and according to logic control, it can provide output currents of up to 0.8A (ESOP-8) or 0.65A (SOT23-6). Its characteristics are as follows:
Wide power range: 4.5V to 24V
0.8A maximum continuous output
• Peak current capability above 3A
Low MOSFET on resistance: Rhs=0.6 Ω, Rls=0.3 Ω
Forward, reverse, inertia or braking output modes
• Suitable for a wide range of MCU control logic
• Input logic delay, thermal shutdown
