Respiratory monitoring is a key technology in fields such as sleep medicine, intensive care, and chronic disease management. It evaluates respiratory system function and health status by capturing parameters such as respiratory rate, tidal volume, and respiratory waveform. Respiratory signals have characteristics such as weakness, low frequency, and susceptibility to interference, which impose strict requirements on the resolution and noise suppression capabilities of front-end acquisition devices. The Guoxin Sichen Bioelectric Measurement Front end Analog Chip GX1291/2 is a single/dual channel 24 bit analog-to-digital converter designed specifically for bioelectric measurement. It can replace ADS1291/2 and provide core technical support for accurate acquisition of respiratory signals.
The GX1291/2 is equipped with a programmable gain amplifier, internal reference, and oscillator. Considering high-precision acquisition of bioelectric signals and protection of signal quality, the chip has features such as ultra-low power consumption, high gain, and high sampling rate to ensure accurate and stable capture of bioelectric signals.GX1291/2 has a flexible input multiplexer that can be independently connected to internally generated test signals, temperature detection, and disconnection detection. Users can flexibly configure the built-in right leg drive circuit between two channels and choose whether to use up/down current at the electrode port for wire breakage detection. Simultaneously supporting breath detection, its output data rate can reach up to 16KSPS.

Outstanding low-power advantage:
GX1291/2 has an energy-saving chip with 420 μ W ultra-low power consumption, and the operating current remains basically unchanged regardless of whether the power supply uses a value lower or higher than the standard voltage. Make the chip consume relatively low current while meeting the high-performance requirements of the system. It can effectively reduce power consumption and extend battery life when measuring bioelectric signals, and can be widely used in medical equipment, portable health monitoring devices, sports physiology research, high-precision data sampling and other fields, providing fundamental tools and technical support for disease diagnosis, health management and scientific research.
The SC8101 of this solution is a high-speed, high-precision, low voltage drop linear voltage regulator chip with sub microampere static current, equipped with enable pins and fast discharge function for turn off. It also has functions such as input current limiting, output short circuit protection, overheating protection, etc., which can protect the chip from damage under abnormal working conditions. Very suitable for battery powered products and reference voltage sources.
Unique advantages in integration and applicability:
The GX1291/2 has a 12 level programmable PGA that can achieve a maximum input gain of 96 times, making it easy to capture signals in millivolts or even weaker. By setting the gain value of the PGA, users can optimize the amplitude range of the signal in different measurement scenarios, and also improve the sensitivity and resolution of the SC2945 system. Thanks to its excellent resistance to common mode and power frequency interference, the signal conversion and amplification process will be more precise and reliable.
