Environmental monitoring covers the measurement of various parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and soil nutrients in the ecological environment. Environmental monitoring usually requires simultaneous attention to multiple key parameters, and the measurement accuracy requirements for different parameters have their own emphasis. This article mainly introduces a domestically produced monitoring chip, which is a high-precision monitor integrating temperature, voltage, and current measurement functions. The chip‘s temperature measurement accuracy of 1.8 ℃, multi-channel synchronous acquisition capability, and strong anti-interference characteristics provide an efficient and reliable replacement solution for multi parameter collaborative monitoring.
The measurement of these environmental parameters often requires the conversion of physical quantities into electrical signals through sensors, thus requiring monitoring equipment to have high-precision analog-to-digital conversion capabilities. The GXSC monitor GX2991 supports two input methods: 8-channel single ended voltage and 4-channel differential voltage, which can achieve voltage measurement, current measurement, or remote BJT temperature measurement. And it supports standard I2C dual line interface, supports standard I2C protocol, has 3 hardware optional address bits, and can expand up to 8 chips.

GX2991 integrates a temperature sensor and a voltage sensor internally to monitor the working temperature and voltage of the chip itself, including a high-precision reference source with a temperature drift of 10ppm/℃, without the need for external reference. Therefore, compared with other solutions, the use of this solution reduces the number of components and material costs required for engineering applications, reduces the PCB footprint, and improves the integration of the board.
The single ended voltage resolution of GX2991 is as low as 305.18 μ V, the differential voltage resolution is as low as 19.075 μ V, and the temperature resolution is as low as 0.0625 ℃. -Within the range of 40 ℃~125 ℃, the voltage measurement accuracy is better than 0.25%, the current measurement accuracy is better than 0.75%, and the temperature measurement accuracy is better than 1.8 ℃, which is very suitable for the application requirements of single or mixed systems of voltage, current, and temperature.
