Four-channel 14-bit 125 MSPS Sampling ADC GX9253 Compatible with AD9253 for Diversity Radio Receivers

Time:2025-10-10 Views:224
In the field of wireless communication, a diversity radio receiver is a device designed to combat signal fading and enhance communication reliability. The principle involves simultaneously receiving the same signal through multiple antennas or frequency bands (frequency diversity), followed by signal processing to select the optimal signal or fuse multi-channel signals, thereby reducing communication interruptions caused by fading.

However, the signal acquisition of a diversity radio receiver requires critical features such as multi-channel synchronous acquisition, high-speed signal processing, ultra-high sampling rates, and high dynamic range. The GXSC‘s 4-channel, 14-bit, 125MSPS ADC, the GX9253, is specifically designed for diversity radio receivers. With built-in sample-and-hold circuits, it is tailored for low cost, low power consumption, compact size, and ease of use. The GX9253 boasts a maximum conversion rate of 125MSPS, featuring outstanding dynamic performance and low power consumption, making it suitable for applications with small packaging dimensions. Its advantages in application are as follows:
Product dimensions, pin function compatibility reference model, supports pin-to-pin replacement with AD9253
Single power supply, more convenient to use
Low power consumption, no need for a heat sink
Adjustable input voltage range
The GX9253 operates with a single 1.8V power supply and is compatible with LVPECL/CMOS/LVDS sample rate clock signals to fully utilize its performance. For most applications, an external reference power source or driver is unnecessary. To achieve the appropriate LVDS serial data rate, the GX9253 automatically multiplies the sample rate clock. It provides a data clock output (DCO) for capturing data at the output and a frame clock output (FCO) for transmitting new output byte signals. It also supports individual channel power-down modes; when all channels are turned off, the typical power consumption is less than 2.2mW
