The synchronous sampling analog-to-digital converter GX7656 replaces the AD7656 in power line monitoring systems

Time:2025-10-23 Views:171
The power line serves as the channel for electricity transmission, and its operational status is crucial to the stability and safety of power supply. The power line monitoring system can collect real-time data on various parameters such as voltage, current, power, and frequency within the power line. Through precise analysis of these parameters, it can promptly identify potential faults and abnormalities in the line. In the power line monitoring system, accurate power signal acquisition and conversion are the foundation for efficient monitoring. The GXSC six-channel 16-bit 250kSPS synchronous sampling analog-to-digital converter, the GX7656, boasts outstanding unique technical advantages, making it an ideal choice in the field of power line monitoring.

The GX7656 features six built-in 16-bit fast, low-power successive approximation ADCs, supporting six-channel synchronous sampling with a conversion rate of up to 250 kSPS per channel. Powered solely by a 5V supply, it can handle true bipolar input signals of ±10V and ±5V. With its integrated calibration algorithm, the product significantly enhances both dynamic and static performance.
In terms of dynamic performance, the GX7656 achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 90 dB and an SFDR of 100 dB. For static performance, the product features a bipolar zero-level error as low as +2 LSB and linearity below 1 LSB. To simplify the PCB design of the data acquisition system, the GX7656 incorporates an input buffer with a 1 MΩ input impedance and an anti-aliasing filter for direct analog signal acquisition. Additionally, the chip integrates a highly configurable precision reference voltage generator and buffer.

Product Advantages of GX7656:
The product dimensions, pinouts, functions, and timing are compatible with the reference product, supporting pin-to-pin in-place replacement of the AD7656
Single 5V power supply, compatible with +15V power pins, for easy application
Higher signal-to-noise ratio, higher linearity
Lower bipolar zero-level error, lower positive and negative full-scale error
Higher channel isolation
ENOB: 14.5 Bit (Typical)
SNR: 89.5dB (typical value)
SNDR: 89dB (typical value)
SFDR: -103 dB (typical value)
THD: -100dB (typical)
INL: ±1LSB (typical value)
DNL: ±0.5LSB (typical value)
Operating power consumption: 110mW (internal reference)
