GXSC Analog-to-Digital Converter Replaces AD9245 for Handheld Endoscopes

Time:2025-11-13 Views:108
The handheld borescope is an industrial inspection instrument that integrates a high-definition camera and a light source system, capable of transmitting internal images in real time to a display screen. It is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, metal smelting, power and energy, automotive manufacturing, and aerospace. At the core of the handheld borescope‘s technology, the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is responsible for converting analog signals into digital signals for subsequent digital signal processing and analysis. The GXSC ADC can be used as a pin-to-pin replacement for the AD9245, making it an ideal choice for handheld borescopes.

The GXSC analog-to-digital converter is fabricated using CMOS technology and incorporates a high-performance sample-and-hold amplifier along with a voltage reference. The device employs a differential multi-stage pipelined architecture and includes output error correction logic to deliver 14-bit accuracy while ensuring no missing codes across the full temperature range. The broadband fully differential SHA supports various selectable input ranges and wide input common-mode voltages, including single-ended applications. It is suitable for multiplexed systems that switch full-scale voltage levels in continuous channels, as well as for sampling single-channel inputs at frequencies far exceeding the Nyquist rate.
The GXSC analog-to-digital converter uses single-ended clock input to control all internal conversion cycles. The duty cycle stabilization circuit (DCS) compensates for variations in clock duty cycle while maintaining excellent ADC overall performance. Digital output data is represented in offset binary or two‘s complement format. The overrange (OTR) signal indicates input overflow conditions, and in conjunction with the most significant bit, determines whether the overflow is low or high.
