The power control system needs to ensure the stable operation of multiple power rails, avoiding equipment shutdown or damage caused by overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating and other faults. It generally works in environments with wide temperature fluctuations, strong electromagnetic interference, voltage surges, etc. The demands for power control in such scenarios focus on precise monitoring, fast response, long-term stability and integrated design.
GXSC‘s 8-channel voltage, current, and temperature monitor chip has replaced LTC2991 and is widely used in various harsh environment power control systems, providing customized monitoring and protection solutions for different scenarios. The single ended voltage resolution of the chip is as low as 305.18 μ V, the differential voltage resolution is as low as 19.075 μ V, and the temperature resolution is as low as 0.0625 ℃. Within the working temperature range of -40 ℃~125 ℃, the voltage measurement accuracy is better than 0.25%, the current measurement accuracy is better than 0.75%, and the temperature measurement accuracy is better than 1.8 ℃, which is very suitable for single or mixed system application requirements of voltage, current, and temperature.

The GXSC monitor chip supports two input methods: 8-channel single ended voltage and 4-channel differential voltage, which can achieve voltage measurement, current measurement, or remote BJT temperature measurement. It supports standard I2C dual line interface, standard I2C protocol, and has 3 hardware optional address bits, which can expand up to 8 chips. In addition, a temperature sensor and a voltage sensor are integrated internally to monitor the working temperature and voltage of the chip itself. The product advantages are as follows:
Small size, low power consumption, built-in 14 bit ADC
High sensitivity, temperature resolution up to 0.06 ℃, single ended voltage resolution up to 305uV, differential voltage resolution up to 19uV
Built in remote current and temperature measurement mode with series resistance cancellation function
Supports PWM output proportional to remote BJT temperature for controlling fans or heaters
I2C address can be configured, supporting up to 8 shared buses
The working modes of each monitor can be independently configured, and a single monitor can measure voltage, current, and temperature simultaneously
Adopting a 16 pin MSOP package, operating temperature ranges from -55 ° C to 125 ° C
Support FPGA, MCU, DSP and other controllers to access through IC interface
Compared with other solutions, this chip integrates a high-precision benchmark with a temperature drift of 10ppm/℃ internally, without the need for external benchmark references, which can reduce the number of components and material costs required for engineering applications, and also reduce the PCB footprint, improving the integration of the board. And it also supports connecting BJT temperature measurement output PWM signals to V7 and V8 channels. According to engineering application requirements, this PWM output signal can be used to control fan speed or heater heat generation.
