Radar technology is extensively deployed in modern defense, aerospace, meteorological monitoring, and civilian navigation. The reliability and precision of its system performance determine operational safety and efficiency in application scenarios. It demands accurate reproduction of radar transmission signals, echo signals, and various interference signals. This provides a high-fidelity signal source for performance testing and algorithm verification of core components like radar receivers and signal processors, while also supporting fault diagnosis and performance optimization of radar systems.
Radar signals feature wide bandwidth, high frequency, complex waveforms, and stringent timing requirements. They must also simulate interference signals in complex electromagnetic environments. The GXSC single-channel 14-bit 125MSPS digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is ideally suited for this application. Its 16-bit high precision and low distortion ensure high-fidelity reproduction of radar waveforms. The DAC‘s high conversion rate perfectly matches wideband radar signal simulation. The GXSC DAC offers pin-to-pin replacement for the AD9764, with GXSC providing full technical support and stable supply channels.

Manufactured using advanced CMOS technology with a segmented current source architecture, the GXSC DAC reduces spurious components while enhancing dynamic performance. It integrates an edge-triggered input latch and a 1.25V temperature-compensated bandgap reference, delivering a complete monolithic DAC solution. The differential current output supports single-ended or differential applications. In differential output mode, the matching between the two current outputs affects dynamic performance. The current outputs can be directly connected to output resistors to provide two complementary single-ended voltage outputs, or directly output to a transformer.
The device features an on-chip reference and control amplifier for maximum precision and flexibility. It can be driven by the internal reference voltage or various external reference voltages. The internal control amplifier offers a wide adjustment range (>10:1), allowing full-scale current adjustment from 2mA to 20mA while maintaining excellent dynamic performance. Consequently, the GXSC DAC can operate at lower power levels or be adjusted within a 20dB range to provide additional gain variation.
