The GXSC analog-to-digital converter, which replaces the ADS1278 in both hardware and software, is widely used in embedded data acquisition applications.

Unlike general-purpose data acquisition devices, embedded data acquisition systems feature miniaturization, low power consumption, high reliability, and adaptability to complex field environments. They are extensively deployed in industrial sites, portable devices, scientific research experiments, and similar scenarios. In industrial process control, embedded testing, and portable monitoring devices, weak signals such as temperature, pressure, strain, and voltage must be captured. These applications demand multi-channel synchronous acquisition, stable data transmission, and compatibility with the miniaturized, low-power design requirements of embedded systems.
The GXSC 8-channel 24-bit ADC is based on a Delta-Sigma architecture, supporting a maximum data output rate of 256KSPS. Its 64-pin LQFP package enables pin-to-pin replacement for TI‘s ADS1278. During replacement, the GXSC offers competitive pricing and stable supply channels. As a 24-bit resolution ADC, it achieves an effective resolution of up to 23.5 bits (typical), with low quantization error. This capability precisely captures weak signals, providing a foundation for detailed parameter identification.
The GXSC ADC integrates functional modules including a Delta-Sigma modulator, digital filter, serial data output, clock, logic control, and a 10-port interface. It not only delivers precise DC measurement characteristics but also exhibits high-level AC-related performance. The chip offers five selectable modes: ultra-high-speed, high-speed, high-precision low-power, and low-speed. Users can enter the corresponding operating mode by configuring relevant hardware pins. The on-chip digital filter converts the oversampled signal from the analog Delta-Sigma modulator into a low-noise digital signal.
Data can be read via the serial interface, with support for the SP1 Frame-Sync protocol. It also enables multi-chip cascaded data output and external synchronization, facilitating applications requiring more than 8 ADC channels. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to +125°C.
