GXSC Ferroelectric Memory Replacement for MB85RS128/FM25V01 in Servo Drives

Time:2026-03-11 Views:0
Servo drives are a critical component of modern motion control systems, widely used in automated equipment such as industrial robots and CNC machining centers. They are particularly essential for controlling AC permanent magnet synchronous motors. Servo drives primarily enable precise closed-loop control of servo motors, relying on the storage and rapid retrieval of various key data during operation. As the “data warehouse” of the servo drive, the storage module directly impacts the system‘s control accuracy, response speed, and operational reliability.
During operation, servo drives must continuously store critical information including motor parameters, control algorithm settings, fault logs, and operational status data. The storage components must exhibit high durability, zero-latency writing, low power consumption, and strong anti-interference capabilities to withstand harsh industrial environments and meet real-time control demands. GXSC ferroelectric memory addresses key challenges in servo drive applications such as write latency, insufficient endurance, and data loss susceptibility.
GXSC ferroelectric memory delivers exceptional data retention, reliably preserving data for 10 years at 85°C (200 years at 25°C) within industrial temperature ranges without requiring backup batteries. This significantly simplifies servo drive hardware design, reduces costs, and lowers failure rates. This capability ensures critical data—including preset parameters and fault logs—remains intact after power loss.
This chip enables pin-to-pin replacement for the Fujitsu MB85RS128 and Cypress FM25V01. The SF25C128 uses a standard SPI interface, ensuring full compatibility and seamless substitution. No major hardware circuit modifications are required during replacement, reducing development costs. Key specifications:
