GXSC Codec Chip Replaces ES8311 to Empower Video Intercom and Access Control Intercom Voice Communication Systems

Time:2026-04-01 Views:0
Video intercom and access control intercom systems are core infrastructure components of modern building security and residential community management. Deployed in critical locations such as apartment building entrances, community gates, and office building entrances, their primary functions include enabling two-way voice communication between visitors and occupants or management personnel, verifying identities, and remotely unlocking doors. The clarity and stability of their voice communication directly determine the efficiency of security management and the user experience.

As building security evolves toward intelligence, miniaturization, and low power consumption, audio processing components must possess high-fidelity voice capture and playback capabilities, strong anti-interference performance, while also balancing low power consumption, small packaging, and easy integration to meet the compact layout and long-term stable operation requirements of access control intercom terminals. GXSC Codec chips are widely used in video intercom and access control intercom systems, addressing the issues of high noise levels, high power consumption, low integration, and weak interference resistance found in traditional audio components.

GXSC Codec chips integrate multi-bit Delta-Sigma audio ADCs and DACs. Its 24-bit ADC performs high-precision sampling of input analog audio signals. Within a sampling frequency range of 8 to 96 kHz, it achieves a high signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB and total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) as low as -93 dB, effectively ensuring the accuracy and clarity of voice capture and precisely capturing subtle changes in voice signals.

The 24-bit DAC also delivers outstanding performance during audio playback. At sampling frequencies ranging from 8 to 96 kHz, it achieves a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of up to 110 dB and THD+N as low as -80 dB, accurately converting digital audio signals into high-quality analog audio and producing clear, natural sound through the speakers. Featuring fully differential outputs, the SC2601 utilizes a built-in programmable filter to eliminate noise during recording. The playback path includes a mono DAC, programmable volume control, and fully differential outputs. This chip is optimized for voice and playback applications, making it ideal for walkie-talkies and voice-based systems.

Key Features of the GXSC Codec Chip:
