Precision measuring instruments usually need to collect and store a large amount of detailed measurement information. In scenarios involving continuous detection, online monitoring, and long-term field sampling, instruments need to record massive amounts of raw measurement data in real time and continuously. As the carrier for instrument data retention, the storage unit ensures that each sampled data point is written in real time, is not lost after power failure, and supports uninterrupted read/write operations, providing reliable data support for measurement data traceability and equipment accuracy calibration.
Traditional measuring instruments generally use Flash and EEPROM as storage solutions, which suffer from fixed erase/write endurance and high erase latency, making them unable to match high-speed measurement requirements. GXSC‘s high-performance ferroelectric memory features non-volatile storage, nearly unlimited read/write cycles, extremely low power consumption, and stable operation over a wide temperature range, solving the performance shortcomings of traditional storage chips in measuring instruments.

GXSC GX25C128 is specially designed for high-frequency acquisition, frequent parameter updates, and long-term data storage scenarios. It can be used for 1 million read/write operations, has an operating frequency of up to 25MHz, supports a 40MHz high-speed read command, and combines the dual characteristics of high-speed RAM read/write and non-volatile ROM storage, supporting the long-term stable operation of measuring instruments.
GX25C128 can replace MB85RS128/FM25V01. It has excellent data retention capability and can reliably retain data for 10 years @85℃ (200 years @25℃) within the industrial temperature range, without the need for additional battery backup, greatly simplifying hardware design and reducing design cost and failure rate. This feature can ensure that key data such as preset parameters and fault records of measuring instruments are not lost after power failure. Its main parameters are introduced as follows:
• Capacity: 128Kb
• Interface type: SPI interface (Mode 0 and Mode 3)
• Operating voltage: 2.7V to 3.6V
• Operating frequency: 25MHz
• Power consumption: 4.2mA, 9uA (standby)
• Data retention: 10 years @85℃ (200 years @25℃)
• High-speed read feature: Supports 40MHz high-speed read command
• Operating ambient temperature range: -40℃ to 85℃
• Package type: 8-pin SOP package, RoHS compliant
• Replaces MB85RS128 and FM25V01
