A smart transmitter is a highly intelligent and automated electronic device primarily used to modulate and transmit various signals. Smart transmitters have strong signal processing capabilities, capable of accepting different types of input signals, such as audio/video and data, and performing digital processing and modulation operations on these signals to meet different transmission requirements.
Equipped with advanced microprocessors and data processing modules, the transmitter ensures signal quality and stability. The system‘s data processing module can utilize an 8-channel, 16-bit SAR analog-to-digital converter (ADC) GX7793, which is pin-to-pin compatible with ADI‘s AD7793 and offers a cost advantage.
For wireless transmitters, sensor signal acquisition and processing are of critical importance. The GX7793 ensures the quality and authenticity of audio signals. The GX7793 integrates all the components required for a multi-channel, low-power data acquisition system, including a 16-bit SAR ADC with no missing codes, an 8-channel multiplexer with low crosstalk, a low-drift 4.096V reference and buffer, a temperature sensor, a selectable single-pole filter, and a sequence generator for sequential continuous scanning of channels.

Key performance features of the GX7793:
1. Resolution: 16-bit, sampling rate: 500 kSPS
2. 8-channel multiplexer with selectable inputs: single-ended single-polarity input, differential input (using reference ground), pseudo-bipolar input, and fully differential input
3. SNR: 90.8 dB @ 1 kHz, VREF = 4.096 V; 90.1 dB @ 20 kHz, VREF = 4.096 V
4. Analog input range: 0 V to VREF (VREF up to VDD)
5. Built-in channel sequencer, selectable single-pole filter, and busy indicator
6. Power supply voltage: Single 5V supply; logic interface voltage: 1.8V to 5V
7. Serial interface: Compatible with SPI, MICROWIRE, QSPI, and DSP
8. Power consumption: 8.3mW @ 500kSPS; 1.8μW @ 100SPS; standby current: 23nA
10. 4mm × 4mm QFN-20 package
