Two wire current type Hall switch sensor GX541: a precise sensing tool for robot control

Accurate position detection, speed feedback, and motion control of robots are necessary conditions for achieving complex actions and efficient operations. The precise grasping, flexible obstacle avoidance, and path planning of mobile robots all require real-time perception of key motion parameters. The non-contact detection, high reliability, and fast response characteristics of Hall sensors have been widely used in robot control schemes.

Hall effect sensors can output switch signals by detecting the presence or change of magnetic fields. GXSC‘s GX541 is a high-sensitivity bipolar Hall switch chip designed based on BCDMOS technology. It has extremely high sensitivity to magnetic fields and can respond to magnetic fields as low as a certain strength. This non-contact detection method avoids wear, friction, and life limitations caused by mechanical contact, and is particularly suitable for position detection of high-speed moving parts such as robot joints and motors.
The GX541 chip includes temperature compensation, comparator, and output driver, and mechanical stress has little effect on the magnetic parameters of the chip. Therefore, this series of sensor chips is very suitable for industrial environments and automotive applications, such as tachometer sensors, flow sensors, electric power steering systems, safety buckles, engine covers, trunk door locks, brake/clutch pedals, etc. The industrial grade ambient temperature range for this chip is -40 ℃ to 150 ℃, and the power supply voltage range is 3.0V-30V.
