The set-top box is connected to the television and an external signal source, and its working principle includes three steps: reception, decoding, and display. The signal processing speed and accuracy in traditional set-top boxes are often limited, resulting in problems such as image stuttering and color distortion when processing high-definition video signals. Using an ADC with high-speed sampling capability can bring a qualitative leap to the signal processing of set-top boxes. The GXSC dual channel 12 bit 1.8GSPS high-speed ADC GX12D1800 can quickly sample the input analog signal and complete the signal sampling in a very short time, greatly improving the speed of signal processing and effectively avoiding the phenomenon of image stuttering.
The GX12D1800 adopts a self-designed architecture that is compatible with the imported model ADC12D1800, achieving excellent dynamic performance with low power consumption below 2.4W. The GX12D1800 has independent DDR data clocks (DCLKI and DCLKQ) for each channel ADC. When both channel ADCs are working, DCLKI and DCLKQ are always in phase, so only one can be used to collect all channels. GX12D1800 supports AutoSync automatic synchronization function and can be used for multi chip cascading. It supports single board multi ADC cascading automatic synchronization and multi board multi ADC cascading automatic synchronization.

Advantages of GX12D1800 product:
Package size compatible with reference models, supporting Pin To Pin substitution for ADC12D1800
Low power optimized design, approximately 54% of the reference model, without the need for a heat sink
Shorter conversion waiting time, saving about 20% compared to the reference model
The power on calibration time is about 1% of the reference model, reducing waiting time by 99%
Wide working temperature range, good environmental adaptability
Support automatic synchronization of multiple chips, provide dedicated collection IP, convenient for application
For the convenience of users to choose and use, the data output format of GX12D1800 can be programmed as offset binary code format and binary complement code format. The product adopts parallel LVDS interface to output data, with a minimum conversion delay of 18ns. The data interface supports Demux mode and Non Demux mode. In Demux mode, two sets of 12 bit LVDS buses will output data in parallel, reducing the data rate of each set of LVDS by half to accommodate more data receiving devices.
Performance indicators of GX12D1800:
1. Full power bandwidth: 3.0GHz
2. Data latency: 28 master clock cycles
3. Static performance: DNL: -0.9/+1.5LSB, INL: -2.3/+2.8LSB
