FPGA is a highly flexible programmable logic device with strong parallel processing capabilities, high customization levels, and excellent real-time performance. Its high-performance operation relies on stable and precise power supply. As chip integration continues to advance, the internal core voltage keeps decreasing while current demands surge sharply. Meanwhile, the multi-core and multi-peripheral architecture introduces diverse power supply requirements. This article primarily introduces a GXSC four-channel 4A DC/DC power module voltage regulator replacing the LTM4644 for FPGA applications. Its four independent channels meet the power supply needs of multiple FPGA modules.
This device is a four-channel DC/DC step-down μModule (micro-module) regulator capable of delivering 4A per output channel. The outputs can be paralleled to form an array, providing a current capability of up to 16A. The package integrates a switching controller, power FETs, inductors, and supporting components.

The GXSC voltage regulator chip operates within an input voltage range of 4V to 14V or 2.375V to 14V (with an external bias power supply), supporting an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5.5V. Its high-efficiency design enables each channel to deliver 4A continuous (5A peak) output current, requiring only large-capacity input and output capacitors.
