For electronic devices, high-quality power supply is the foundation for normal operation and extended service life. With the rapid advancement of technology and the improvement of living standards, higher demands have been placed on the quality and reliability of power supply. To ensure the stable operation of various electrical devices and systems, maintain normal production and daily life order, and accurately measure power quality to safeguard the stable operation of the power system, this article recommends a domestically produced eight-channel 16-bit 510kSPS synchronous sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) as a replacement for the ADS8568 for power quality measurement applications.
The GXSC analog-to-digital converter features eight built-in 16-bit fast, low-power successive approximation ADCs, supporting synchronous sampling across all eight channels. Each channel achieves a conversion rate of up to 510 kSPS. This capability is critical for high-precision multi-channel synchronous data acquisition in power quality measurements, such as monitoring three-phase voltage and current signals in three-phase power systems, ensuring accurate data capture across all channels at the same moment.
The GXSC analog-to-digital converter is powered solely by a 5V supply and can support the conversion of true bipolar input signals with a maximum range of ±10V. To simplify the PCB design of the data acquisition system, the chip incorporates an input buffer with 1MΩ input impedance and an anti-aliasing filter, enabling direct analog signal acquisition. Additionally, the GXSC ADC integrates a highly configurable high-precision reference voltage generator and buffer. The chip also supports parallel or serial modes, allowing configuration through different hardware pin connection schemes. This feature creates multiple interface conditions for connecting the device to microprocessors or DSPs.
