GXSC Voltage Reference Replacement ADR4520/4525/4540 for Process Control Applications

Time:2025-11-24 Views:73
Process control involves monitoring key parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and liquid level in real time to regulate actuators and ensure stable production processes. The acquisition of all parameters (sensor signals), analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog conversion, and regulation signal output all require a precise voltage reference standard. The voltage reference directly determines the accuracy and reliability of process control. The core requirements for the voltage reference in process control are as follows:
High long-term stability
Wide-temperature range accuracy
anti-interference capability
High reliability and long lifespan

In process control, when an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) converts analog sensor signals into digital signals, a reference voltage is required to define the conversion range. Conversely, when a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) outputs control signals, the voltage reference source determines the output accuracy, enabling extremely small conversion errors and precise capture of load fluctuations. The GXSC voltage reference source features high precision, low temperature drift, and low noise, with outstanding long-term stability and strong anti-interference capabilities, making it an ideal solution for process control.
The GXSC voltage reference is a high-precision, low-temperature drift, low-noise, and low-power voltage reference source. Its absolute voltage accuracy can reach within ±0.1%, with a typical temperature drift of 10 ppm/°C over the -40°C to 125°C temperature range. The ultra-low temperature drift version exhibits a drift as low as 3 ppm/°C. At an output voltage of 2.048V, the 1/f noise voltage is 9 μVpp. The power supply rejection ratio reaches up to 60 dB within the 0Hz to 1KHz frequency range.

Process control in industrial environments requires long-term stable operation. Long-term drift of the reference voltage can lead to a gradual decline in current output accuracy. Additionally, load variations may cause fluctuations in the reference voltage, affecting current stability. The GXSC voltage reference source operates within a voltage range of 3.1V to 5.5V, with a typical static operating current of 900μA and a maximum load current of ±10mA, far surpassing the performance of traditional reference source chips.

Features of the GXSC voltage reference source:
• Ultra-low temperature drift of 10ppm/℃, down to 3ppm/℃
• The absolute accuracy of the initial voltage reaches ±0.1%
• 0Hz~1kHz, 60dB power ripple suppression
• 0.1Hz~10Hz, 1/f noise as low as 9μVpp
• 900μA low static current
• ±10mA drive current
• SOIC-8 Small Outline Integrated Circuit Package
