Multi-carrier multi-mode cellular infrastructure base stations are widely deployed in urban and rural areas, among others. These base stations utilize multi-carrier technology to meet high data traffic demands. Multi-carrier technology enables base stations to transmit signals simultaneously across multiple carrier frequencies, significantly enhancing data transmission rates and system capacity. This necessitates the use of an essential core component—the analog-to-digital converter (ADC)—which performs precise and efficient analog-to-digital signal conversion.
The high linearity of the GXSC‘s four-channel 14-bit 250MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) enables exceptional performance in the digitization of analog signals. In multi-carrier, multi-mode cellular infrastructure base stations, the received signals contain complex information such as voice, data, and images. This domestic ADC features a multi-stage, differential pipelined architecture for each channel‘s ADC core, integrated with output error correction logic. Each ADC boasts high bandwidth and supports multiple user-selectable input ranges.

The GXSC analog-to-digital converter integrates a duty cycle correction circuit to stabilize the duty cycle of the internal clock signal, ensuring consistent superior conversion performance. The converted data is directly output via two pairs of cross-connected, multi-channel multiplexed 14-bit LVDS level interface circuits. The chip can be flexibly configured into power-down mode as needed, significantly reducing power consumption. Programming for configuration and control is accomplished using a four-wire SPI serial interface.
