Distribution networks primarily consist of DTU (Distribution Terminal Units) and FTU (Feeder Terminal Units), serving as the direct link between power generation and end-users. Their operational stability and power supply reliability directly impact public welfare and industrial production safety.
Distribution terminals comprise front-end signal input and protection units, power supply units, and signal processing and interface units. The data acquisition system is the core component of this module. The GXSC 16-channel, 16-bit, 1MSPS dual-channel synchronous sampling ADC meets the demand for high-precision, simultaneous acquisition of multiple electrical parameters. This chip integrates a reference power supply, an input buffer with 1MΩ input impedance, and an anti-aliasing filter, eliminating the need for numerous external components. It directly interfaces with PT/CT output signals and enables high-speed data exchange with the main control chip via interfaces like SPI.
Powered by a 5V supply, the GXSC ADC supports true bipolar input signals ranging from ±10V to ±5V to ±2.5V. Each channel achieves an 89dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Enhanced SNR performance is attainable through the on-chip oversampling mode. Integrated clamping protection circuits on the input ports withstand clamping voltages up to ±22V. Additionally, the device incorporates a configurable high-precision reference voltage generator and buffer.

Key advantages of the GXSC ADC include:
- Pin-to-pin compatibility with reference products in terms of size, pinout, functionality, and timing, enabling direct replacement of the AD7616
Single 5V supply supports conversion of true bipolar input signals ranging from ±10V to ±5V to ±2.5V
16 channels with independently selectable input ranges
Flexible hardware/software modes for broader application adaptability
Supports oversampling with on-chip self-test

With the continuous advancement of smart distribution grid construction, distribution terminals are evolving toward multi-channel, high-precision, miniaturized, low-cost, and highly reliable designs. Leveraging core advantages of high precision, high integration, broad adaptability, and strong anti-interference capabilities, the GXSC ADC addresses industry pain points in data acquisition, design complexity, cost control, and environmental adaptability for distribution terminals. It enables simultaneous, precise acquisition of multiple electrical parameters without complex peripheral circuits, significantly simplifying hardware design, reducing R&D and production costs, while enhancing data acquisition accuracy and system reliability.
