Mechanical vibration monitoring serves as a “barometer” for the stable operation of mechanical equipment. When faults such as imbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, or gear damage occur, vibration signals exhibit distinct abnormalities. By precisely monitoring characteristics such as amplitude, frequency, and phase of vibration signals, it is possible to achieve early fault warning, precise localization, and predictive maintenance.
Because mechanical vibration signals are dynamic and weak, acquisition devices must feature wide bandwidth and high sampling rates. Large-scale equipment requires synchronized monitoring across multiple measurement points to ensure phase consistency among vibration signals at each point. GXSC’s 8-channel 24-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) meets the requirements for mechanical vibration signal acquisition. The chip integrates eight independent ADC cores and supports 8-channel synchronous sampling. Through unified clock control, it ensures that the sampling timings of all channels are perfectly synchronized, with minimal gain error. This synchronous sampling capability is ideally suited for the multi-point monitoring of mechanical vibrations.

The GXSC ADC offers four operating modes to meet varying requirements for speed, accuracy, and power consumption: High-Speed (HS) mode, which offers the fastest speed; when paired with a 37 MHz clock, it achieves 144 kSps with a -3 dB bandwidth of 70 kHz; High-Precision (HR) mode, offering the highest accuracy with an SNR of up to 111.7 dB and THD of up to -122.9 dB, while consuming only 20.8 mW per channel; Low-Power (LP) mode, which maintains the same output rate as HR mode but reduces power consumption by nearly half; and Low-Speed (LS) mode, suitable for low-speed data acquisition with power consumption as low as 2.7 mW per channel. The chip is controlled directly via pins, eliminating the need to configure registers, making it easy for engineers to use.
