Ultrasonic imaging systems are real-time, user-friendly, and cost-effective devices widely used in medical diagnostics, industrial non-destructive testing, biomedical research, and other fields. They emit high-frequency ultrasonic waves via a piezoelectric transducer array and receive echo signals reflected from the target object. After signal acquisition, processing, and reconstruction, these systems generate clear images of internal structures. The analog-to-digital converter (ADC) serves as the critical link between the analog echo signals and the digital processing unit.
GXSC’s four-channel, 14-bit, 125 MSPS ADC is specifically designed for low cost, low power consumption, small form factor, and ease of use. With high resolution and excellent dynamic performance, it can accurately quantify microvolt-level ultrasonic echo signals to ensure image quality. With a built-in sample-and-hold circuit and a conversion rate of up to 125 MSPS, it offers outstanding dynamic performance and low power consumption, making it suitable for applications requiring small package sizes.

The GXSC ADC operates on a single 1.8V power supply and uses LVPECL/CMOS/LVDS-compatible sampling rate clock signals to maximize its performance. For most applications, no external reference power supply or driver components are required. To achieve the appropriate LVDS serial data rate, the chip automatically multiplies the sampling rate clock. It provides a data clock output (DCO) for capturing data at the output and a frame clock output (FCO) for signaling the start of a new output byte. It also supports individual channel power-down; when all channels are disabled, typical power consumption is less than 10 mW.
