Ku-band imaging radar operates in the 12 GHz to 18 GHz frequency range. It offers the advantages of short wavelengths, high imaging resolution, compact size, and all-weather operation. It can significantly improve both angular and range resolution, reproduce detailed target contours, and enable precise identification of small targets.
The GXSC Phased Array Multifunction Chip is specifically designed for the Ku-band. It features four integrated half-duplex channels that match the operating bandwidth of imaging radars. With high beam control accuracy, low power consumption, strong scalability, and high integration, it enables the rapid deployment of large-scale phased array antenna arrays.
The chip covers the Ku-band satellite communication reception (10.7–12.7 GHz) and transmission (14–14.5 GHz) frequency bands. It integrates four receive channels, four transmit channels, and corresponding power combining/distribution networks, making it a highly integrated silicon-based beamforming chip. Each receive and transmit channel supports 6-bit amplitude and 6-bit phase control. It uses a 4-wire standard SPI interface for register configuration and control, supporting bias adjustment, channel enable/disable control, and transmit/receive switching. Its product advantages are as follows:
1. Performance compatible with ADMV4680
2. CMOS process, low mass production cost
3. High transmit and receive gain ≥25 dB
4. High transmit output power (OP-1d8) ≥11 dBm
5. Low power consumption

This phase-array multifunction chip features five address pins (ADD0–ADD4) to enable serial control of up to 32 chips in an application. The chip supports internal beam storage, facilitating rapid beam state switching. The chip is powered by a 1.2V main supply, while digital I/O uses standard 3.3V CMOS logic. Its performance specifications are as follows:
