GXSC OPA Replaces AD8608 in Barcode Scanners

Time:2026-06-12 Views:298
Barcode scanners enable rapid reading of barcode information and data entry through laser emission, reflection of the barcode, conversion of optical signals, and waveform shaping and decoding. They consist of a laser emission unit, an optical focusing unit, a photodetector unit, a signal conditioning and amplification unit, a waveform shaping and decoding unit, and a main control and processing unit.

The scanner emits a scanning beam via a laser module, where photodiodes receive the light signals and convert them into weak analog current/voltage signals. A high-precision operational amplifier circuit then amplifies the signal, applies noise-reduction filtering, and shapes the waveform, converting the photoelectric signal into a standardized, regulated pulse signal. The operational amplifier circuit can utilize the GXSC precision low-noise dual-channel amplifier, which meets the requirements of barcode scanners for amplifying weak photoelectric signals, waveform shaping, multi-stage filtering, and differential noise reduction.

The GXSC OPA is manufactured using CMOS technology and supports rail-to-rail input and output as well as single-supply operation. It features extremely low offset voltage, low input voltage noise and current noise, and high-speed performance, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including active filters, integrators, photodiode amplifiers, and high-impedance sensor conditioning circuits. Its wide bandwidth and low distortion characteristics benefit audio and other applications where AC performance is critical, including optical control loop applications, low-power instrumentation, and portable audio devices.
