Analog video transmission is a technology that converts continuous video signals into electromagnetic waves for transmission, offering advantages such as low cost, low latency, and easy deployment. The receiving end involves signal restoration, where the performance of the mixer affects signal demodulation accuracy and image quality. The GXSC broadband dual-balanced mixer, with characteristics such as ultra-wide bandwidth coverage, low distortion, and high isolation, is an optimal solution for replacing LTC5548/5549 in the frequency conversion stage of analog video transmission receiver systems.
The analog video transmission reception system converts high-frequency analog modulated signals transmitted in space into intermediate frequency signals, which are then demodulated to restore the video baseband signal. This process requires the mixer to possess excellent bandwidth, linearity, and noise performance, which the GXSC broadband mixer can precisely match. First, the mixer chip integrates an internal RF balun, supporting a broadband operating frequency range of 2~14GHz. The wideband characteristics ensure the complete preservation of signal spectrum information, preventing the loss of image details due to insufficient bandwidth.

The GXSC broadband mixer integrates an LO amplification chain, supporting local oscillator operating frequencies from 1 to 12 GHz, with a typical LO power requirement of only 0 dBm. The chip also includes an IF balun, supporting single-ended 50Ω operation at intermediate frequencies ranging from 0.5 to 6 GHz.
The GXSC broadband mixer boasts high linearity (input P-1dB and IIP3) and integration, effectively reducing intermodulation products between interference signals and useful signals to ensure image clarity. Additionally, the chip integrates an LO multiplier, which can be enabled or disabled via a CMOS logic-compatible port. Activating the LO multiplier lowers the requirements for local oscillator frequency, facilitating system applications.
